INDIAN RIVER – When a blues and rock artist like Matt Andersen visits the Indian River Festival, he’s asked to leave his band and sound person behind.
Andersen performed there last year — his soulful voice filling St. Mary’s Church during an encore that needed no amplification.
“That church carries you,” said festival chair René Hurtubise, who called Andersen’s performance amazing.
