STEPHENVILLE - A 48-year-old man from Highlands, N.L., has been killed in a construction accident.
RCMP say the house he was renovating collapsed on him on Saturday.
Cpl. Steve Henley says there were two men in the building at the time.
The victim was using a pry bar to remove an old porch and washroom from the structure when the roof collapsed trapping him beneath the rubble.
The other man was able to lift the roof allowing the injured man to crawl out.
He was taken to hospital in Stephenville, but died later that day.
