Three verdicts of guilty came back around 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Supreme Court trial against Rickey Logan Simpson.

Simpson, 57, was facing one count each of possession of marijuana, possession of tetrahydrocannabinol for the purpose of trafficking and unlawful production of cannabis marijuana.

"People have proven to me once again they have total lack of common sense," Simpson said after leaving the courtroom. "I thought the jury would see this for what it is and that they would welcome this medicine."

Since 2003, Simpson has been using cannabis oil to treat many illnesses including cancer and psoriasis, and hasn't been able to get anyone to take a look at his findings.
