AMHERST - It was a case of too little, too late for the Dooly’s Coors Light Silver Bullets yesterday, who lost both games of a doubleheader against the Noel Road Blue Jays at Robb’s Centennial Complex.

The Silver Bullets lost both games of a doubleheader at Robbs Complex, the first 8-3 and the second 10-7.

Cody Sutton and Nick Remington pitched the first game for the Silver Bullets.

Combined, they gave up eight runs on eight hits, nine walks and struck two out.

Jeff Hoeg hit two singles and one RBI while Shane Sexton hit one double.

Pitching for the Silver Bullets in the second game were Neal MacDonald and Glen Marks.

Combined, they gave up 10 runs on 13 hits, three walks, struck five out and hit three batters.

Walks and errors can hurt and yesterday was no exception for the team, said General Manager Barry Sparky Anderson.

“We’re hoping for good games on the weekend. It should give a chance to really look at all of our pitchers.”

The Silver Bullets will play doubleheaders in away games this weekend against the Yarmouth Gateways on Saturday and the Bridgewater Bulldogs on Sunday.
