Forbes pleads guilty to assault

Michael Walter Forbes, 38, of 84 Eddy St., Amherst, was given a conditional discharge following probation after pleading guilty to one count of assaulting Justin Cruickshank.
The six-month probation comes with conditions, including a $200 donation to the United Way of Cumberland County within the first five months, and a $50 surcharge to be paid by Nov. 19. The incident occurred July 5 in Parrsboro.
 
Montrose sentenced to custody
Douglas Anthony Montrose, 39, of 3859 Highway 204, East Leicester, was sentenced to 35 days custody after entering a guilty plea to one count each of failing the breathalyser and theft of less than $5,000.
Montrose was given 30 days in custody for the breathalyser charge, and five consecutive days for the theft charge.
The breathalyser charge also saw a driving prohibition be enforced for three years, and Montrose can apply for the ignition interlock device program after 15 months if he so chooses.
The incidents occurred June 28 in Fenwick and May 13 in Amherst, respectively.
 
Terrio pleads guilty to failing breathalyser
Peter Francis Terrio, 44, of 18 West Pleasant St., Amherst, was sentenced to custody after pleading guilty to one count each of failing the breathalyser and failing to comply with an undertaking.
For failing the breathalyser, Terrio was sentenced to 120 days in custody. A three-year driving prohibition was enforced.
For breaching his undertaking, Terrio was sentenced to 30 days custody, concurrent to the other sentence imposed.
The incidents occurred July 3 in East Southampton.
